Chronicling the daily goings-on of single father Joe Humble, his daughter Molly, and their goofy friends.

February 5, 2008

Dear Friends of The Humble Stumble,

It is with no shortness of disappointment that I announce the discontinuation of The Humble Stumble comic strip as of March 10, 2008.

I am very grateful to all who have read and enjoyed the strip in its 31 months of print syndication (and seven years total as a focal point in my life). Unfortunately, The Humble Stumble was never able to find enough newspaper homes to support its production, and it eventually became very difficult to justify the vast amount of time away from my family and more lucrative possibilities. The first autographed The Humble Stumble book collection will be available soon through this website, and there may be other things in store for these characters yet!

I have plenty of ideas for graphic novels (lengthy full-color comic books) and other cartoon projects, and will continue to do magazine cartooning and humor writing. I also plan to focus a bit more attention on my musical pursuits as well; I have made some small progress as a Singer/Songwriter during The Humble Stumble's print run, (please check out "The Humble Sessions" at the link above) and I look forward to seeing where that might take me. If it takes me to the sidewalk with a little tin cup, please deposit 25 cents into it as you're shuffling by and avoiding eye contact (I'll be the one yelling incoherently at the traffic). Please have a look at http://www.sonicbids.com/royschneider if you enjoy rootsy Americana and original acoustic music.

Thank you very much, once again, sincerely; it has been a pleasure and a privilege to be able to make you smile.
